Description

Half mounted Pernambuco violin bow by the maker Jessie Leal. The bow has a light but strong well balanced stick. Due to the current CITES restrictions placed on the use and sale of Brazilian Pernambuco wood, L'Archet Brasil spent time investigating and experimenting with bow making in more sustainable timbers, and are now using a type of Mexican Pernambuco. These woods are not endangered and do not come under the CITES restrictions yet retain the characteristics of a traditional Brazilian Pernambuco stick.
