Obligato are similar strings to Evah Pirazzi with a slightly lower tension in each corresponding gauge. The standard E is goldplated as opposed to steel with D and A options. These strings have slightly darker sound than Evah Pirazzi at the possible expense of absolute power. We feel they are more forgiving on modest instruments than Evah Pirazzi. A good choice for those who like a gut style sound combined with good tonal stability and value for money.
