Obligato strings have a core made from a modern synthetic multifilament fibre. They sound warm and full, yet have a brilliant, rich overtone spectrum and focused tone. Excellent playability and response throughout the entire dynamic range . Great tone and volume combined with excellent tonal stability. Extremely resistant to variations in temperature and humidity
Standard silver D. An Aluminium D is available for those looking for a warmer sound on this string.
A universal string of great quality suitable all types of instrument and player standard Obligato strings sound warm and full, yet have a brilliant, rich overtone spectrum and focused tone. Excellent playability and response throughout the entire dynamic range

Pros: I like it ,it has a clean tone and dont make my fingers black like the aluminiumwonded do.
Cons: Nothing!
Other: Most synthetic strings are good ,but this fits my violin well.

Pros: the Obligato D Silver has a very responsive and warm tone. It projects into the hall much better than expected under the ear. My new favourite string! Silver feels luxurious under finger tips too.
Cons: It does take a good few days to settle. It kept going flat.

Pros: As the D usually resonates more on my violin than the G, I chose this string which was a not the greatest I've used compared to the Evah Pirazzi Gold. However, it contrasted well with the other strings
Cons: It didn't make as big a sound as the others
