Pros: Obligato are the best strings I've ever played on. Reliable and responsive.

A good professional string.

Pros: Good strong tone and holds tuning very very well. A short play in time and a good mix with gut d and g.

Cons: Maybe lacks complexity of tone.

Generate a warm, soft sound without losing volume!
3 out of 4 found the following review helpful

Pros: It's warm sound, it complements the aged softness that my violin generates much more than any other string I have tried. It is long lasting and far better than any other string out there.

Cons: I preferred it when they used to be sold to be stored in tubes. They are more expensive than dominants

Great string, but this one faulty!

Pros: Fabulous string

Cons: I received a faulty one! Not the String Zone's fault but the manufacturer's, presumably.

Pros: I have bought a Pirastro obligato A string as a reserve for the Eudoxa currently being used as the Eudoxa strings break too frequently.

Cons: None

Pirastro Obligato A
1 out of 1 found the following review helpful

Pros: Have always liked this string on my violin but ...

Cons: The quality of this string has gone downhill. I have thrown away 2 new A strings purchased from the Stringzone in July because of unravelling/separating over the bridge. Spotted by my luthier who told me that he has noticed problems recently with Pirastro strings. Disappointing and costly.

Pros: A perfectly good string at a very reasonable price.
