L'Archet Brasil - Silver mounted violin bow by Manoel Francisco

Made by master maker Manoel Francisco. This bow is crafted with a silver mounted ebony frog. It features a traditional paris eye and abalone inlay to the frog paired with a three band silver screw. Due to the current CITES restrictions placed on the use and sale of Brazilian Pernambuco wood, L'Archet Brasil spent time investigating and experimenting with bow making in more sustainable timbers, and are now using both IPE and Roxenho for bow making, alongside Pernambuco. These woods are not endangered and do not come under the CITES restrictions, yet retain the characteristics of a traditional Pernambuco stick
