I've been using these strings for years (after whatever incarnation of Pirastro I used got a bit pricey) and suddenly, they seem to have got fatter! With the best will, I am not going to modify my violin's tail piece to accommodate. It's done me fine for the last mumblemumle years so I'm not about to change it. More likely to source a different string.
