The Diamond NX is our best selling bow at this price point. It combines quality, playability and affordability to produce a bow suitable for student and amateur players at all levels.
The NX Diamond features a firmer stick than SX and GX which makes it easier to control for learners whilst ensuring a positive feel and producing an even, sweet tone. The balance point is biased toward the head which aids control when playing with the lower half of the bow.
The bow has a neutral, even feel for good control along the entire length of the stick. This helps students develop their technique on a bow without idiosyncrasies.
These bows can be rehaired in the traditional manner and as such should give no problems for a qualified bow repairer, thereby ensuring a lifetime of service equal to any traditional wooden bow.
Unless stated otherwise all our bows are supplied with a starter coat of premium quality William Salchow rosin. Good, fresh rosin is essential to obtain the best performance from any bow.

Pros: I had 4 bows on trial including the more expensive Coda Daimond SX model and in a blind trial my cello instructor picked this one out as best all rounder. I am no great player but I found the balance great and I found that it gave great non-watery sound when playing harmonics and in thumb positions that with my current bow were wishy-washy. It has really rekindled my love of the cello - great service from stringzone.
Cons: none

Pros: It gave me a good attack to notes and was good on quick passages. I liked it with Bach
Cons: It isn't quite as balanced as the Carvalho wooden bow I liked.
Other: If you can afford it get this rather than the Prodigy as it is much better

Pros: My teacher played with this bow and I could hear a clear difference between this and 2 others. This bow made a far better sound, even when compared to my teachers own bow costing well over £1000. I
Cons: It is a little heavier than I am used to and I found iit harder to play trickier phrases. However I think this is just a natter of getting used to a new bow.
