The diamond SX offers the professional musician an affordable bow for everyday use. Finely weighted and balanced diamond weave graphite stick with 100% acoustic Kevlar core. A bow for the professional, affordable by all.
The SX Diamond features a more flexible stick than the NX with a balance point slightly towards the frog from centre which makes it perfect for advanced students whilst ensuring a positive feel for professionals and producing a focused, bright tone.
The bow has a neutral, even feel for good control along the entire length of the stick. This helps students develop their technique on a bow without idiosyncrasies.
These bows can be rehaired in the traditional manner and as such should give no problems for a qualified bow repairer, thereby ensuring a lifetime of service equal to any traditional wooden bow.
Its modern, sleek black finish hints at its underlying control, and its focused timbre is perfect for cutting through the soundwall at outdoor or acoustically-challenged venues. The SX Diamond bow is built for the travelling or gigging musician wanting durability without compromising professional performance.
Unless stated otherwise all our bows are supplied with a starter coat of premium quality William Salchow rosin. Good, fresh rosin is essential to obtain the best performance from any bow.

Pros: This bow is really something - the weight, balance, response and power are just perfect for me and the full rich sound it gives is amazing. Significantly, I purchased this as a 'second' bow to go with a more expensive Alfred Knoll pernambuco, but I have to say that this is at least as good as the latter, although I prefer the much richer tone it produces. I didn't really expect such performance from carbon-fibre, but what a great surprise. The problem now is which bow to use for which music!?
Cons: None - got even more than I expected for the money!
Other: Highly recommended for anyone who is willing to try carbon-fibre and can afford it.

Pros: I hadn't had a new bow in many years, so I thought I'd better experiment with several at the same time in order to clearly judge the various characteristics. As soon as I tried the Coda Diamon SX, it felt perfect. The weight, balance and power exactly suited me. I've used it for chamber music and orchestra concerts. It even makes me happier to practise at home, which is a minor miracle in itself.
Cons: There's nothing to dislike.

Pros: Good balance with a nice spring. The balance of sound quality is even across the strings and distinct in the quietest of notes.
Cons: It still plays wrong notes
