Pros: These strings produce a very immediate sound. This is particularly evident on the C string and has made quite a difference to my playing. It's great to hear the sound without any delay.
Cons: I found the A string to be a little brighter than I would have liked.

Pros: These are lovely strings, and work really well for my cello. The sound is clean, sweet and clear, and there have been no complaints from my colleagues about 'blending in' (which I was worried about and stopped me from using them earlier).
Cons: These aren't cheap - but then you get what you pay for!

Should have tried these years ago
Pros: A and D were very clear and resonant. I particularly like the C and was impressed with the clarity and depth of this. All four strings are far clearer in 4th position upwards than my previous strings but the G has a metallic twang to it particularly the open string. There was a marked difference (improvement) with all strings to the previous make I had used for years.
Cons: Metallic sound to open G string
Other: I played on them for about 4 weeks hoping the metallic open G sound (almost a buzz) would improve but it didn't so I gave up on it and bought another Evah Pirazzi (non soloist) G string. This is better and I will continue with this although I have to be very careful playing the open string.
