Pros: The packaging is lovely, decent pouch and cloth that looks expensive. A soft dusty rosin that takes very little effort to work onto the bow. Stays a good long time once powdered up. Probably the finest rosin I have used in over thirty years of playing and at a price that is still in reach of budget buyers. One for the teacher, pro, amateur and student.

Pros: I seem to loose my rosin on a yearly basis (under the desk stand usually!) so I seem to try out many different Rosins every time I loose one! The Bernadel is by far the best gold rosin I have tried to date, very light on the strings and doesn't seem to leave too much dust on the body or the strings. Overall a lovely quick responsive sound and after the initial breaking in of a week or so you don't have to apply too much to your bow (though this is a relative I guess) and it comes in a really swish little wallet! So I shall try my best to not loose this one!
Cons: Nothing wrong! Has been a pleasure so far!

Pros: Smooth quality

Other: Having been a string player for 60 years I was recommended to try Bernadel rosin for the first time. I had never heard of it before and I can honestly say that it's the first rosin i've really enjoyed using. It actually works, drawing the tone smoothly and evenly from the instrument without any courseness or scratchiness even when first applied.

Pros: Good! I mean, REALLY good! Very different to the stuff I'd been thinking was normal before. Do yourself a favour, throw away the tin that came with your beginner's violin & get some of this.

Pros: Difficult to be entirely objective when you know that this is Kevin Burke's rosin of choice! However, having worked my way through Stringzone's premium rosins, I do like this one very much (for Folk fiddle) - good tone, appropriate grip and minimal dust. The price is around a third of the more expensive rosins.
Cons: Nothing - characteristics, packaging etc. all excellent.
Other: Stringzone's service excellent, as ever.

Pros: It does exactly what it says, I have tried quite a few rosins they all make me cough and weeze as well as leaving heavy deposits of white dust around the bridge. This product produces next to no dust and gives a good response when playing.
Cons: There is nothing I don't like about this rosin

Pros: This rosin has solved all the problems I was having with previous rosins. It gives a good grip and brings a beautiful smooth sound. It lasts long and usually 3-5 passes by the bow allow for 3-4 hours of practice. It is a clean rosin and leaves no dust in the violin (although it may stick to the strings so I recommend daily cleaning ot them after practice). In sume, this is a very, very good rosin. It's clean, it lasts, It is easy to put and brings a beautiful sound.
Cons: I don't see any of the negatives of other rosins.
Other: The pochet in which the rosin comes is a bit overkill and takes space. I changed it for another box. more fitting. This is a cosmetic issue. Although it is very clean for the violin you might want to make sure to clean the strings after practice.

Pros: Although more expensive than other rosins, Leaves little or no rosin dust on the violin and seems to last much longer for each application. Comes in a neat, dark blue cloth wallet.
