Pros: I bought the light tension, to suit a cello that seems to close up with high-tension strings, and this was a brilliant solution! Like another reviewer, I found the light tension G to be very responsive and with a lively, interesting timbre. It's not at all 'soft' in tone, but neither is it edgy on the open string.
Cons: None
Other: Recommend the light tension over the medium, if you want a lively sound that isn't harsh.

Pros: The light gauge version is quite exceptionally gut-like, very alive with overtones, but with the stability and playability of a metal string.
Cons: My long experience of the medium gauge version is that it is not very long-lasting. After a few months of not very intensive use it gets a bit soft under the bow hair, particularly when bowing nearer the fingerboard, as if you don't have enough rosin or need a bow rehair. It is not a particularly expensive string though, so I don't resent having to replace them frequently.
Other: I have used the medium tension version for years and reviewed it here. This additional review is the result of trying the light tension version recently, which has quite different tonal qualities. Whereas the medium is warm, open and glowing, the light tension string is more lively, full of the complex overtones which gut string lovers like myself love. It is an astonishingly good match with the Eudoxa D string I use next to it, given the very different materials used in their manufacture. If anything it seems even louder than the medium; I may just get this impression because of the more lively sound, but it is usually the case with lighter gauge strings on my instrument, and the lower tension also helps the other strings sing more freely.

Pros: Nice warm, glowing tone which seems to let my instrument sing rather than imposing its own signature. It is also less likely to trigger wolf notes than many G-strings I have tried. A good match for an Obligato C-string in my experience.
Cons: Can seem very slightly metallic when used in conjunction with Obligato and/or gut as I do, which is not surprising as it is after all a metal string. It is the best match I have found though.
