D'Addario Helicore Octave Violin Single E String, Medium Tension (4/4 Scale)

Helicore Octave strings are designed to be tuned an octave below traditional violin tuning. The strings are therefore considerably thicker than traditional violin strings, so they require extra care to ensure proper installation.

Keen Amateur

Try them if you want something different

Pros: I have done several gigs with these strings on my electric violin and they are so much fun to play on. They also produce a solid clear, smooth tone. Definitely recommended if you want something a little different.

Cons: You will need a heavier bow, such as a Viola or cello bow to get a good sound out of them.

Different strings. Give them a go!

Pros: I love these strings. They sound so much warmer. If you want to try something different, go for these strings.

Cons: You will need to use a heavier bow such as a Viola or Cello bow to get the best sound out of them.
