Keen Amateur
Rich and powerful tone.
Pros: Very strong and rich tone on my wife's 16+ inch Bobak viola. String was not scratchy but responded well. Would be well suited to smaller violas that need more C string power.
Cons: Tone was too powerful relative to other strings. Tried the medium and light versions of the same string, opting for the light version in the end. This was the closest in tone quality and power to the string as originally fitted by Guivier's, which was the Superflexible light. This is no longer sold, the medium version is being too strong for this instrument.
Other: Given 3 stars as not suitable for instrument in spite of tone and power.
