Hidersol is a long established light cleaner and polish and will maintain a lustrous appearance to most varnishes. This traditional recipe cleaner and polish is safe for most varnishes. We recommend testing on a small area first. Apply sparingly with a lint free cloth and polish untill dry with a clean cloth. Not recommended for cleaning of major levels of dirt and discolouration.

Pros: You only need to use a small amount to get a good result and it effortlessly cleaned away any fingerprints etc from my violin, leaving a lovely finish. I would recommend this to anyone with a student/inexpensive instrument like mine, as it made it look like new.
Cons: It does have quite a strong smell but it does a good job - though some people may not like the shine it creates.

Pros: A really satisfying product! I used this to clean a violin that hasn't been cleaned in a decade. Parts of it were so dirty that I'd assumed the original varnish had been worn away. I was wrong: after cleaning it now looks like a new instrument. It has polished up to a very glossy, high shine, and required relatively little product to get that finish. It does take some elbow grease, and is probably best done in small stages and repeated as necessary. Once cleaned, it seems to repel new rosin and dust build-up. I found the smell while applying and since to be fairly mild (and not unpleasant).
Cons: None.

Pros: The use is simple, add a small amount to a cloth and wipe off all the rosin and finger-prints. Do it again when it's clean and always along the grains. The use the same cloth yo polish your violin, it looks new and sounds better.
Cons: None, the product bottle size is good and will last forever.
Other: Don't use too much
