Made in France through years of experienced techniques and from only the best sourced natural materials, Jade Rosin is a very popular with professional violinsts, viola players and cellists due to its smooth grip. Produced in a delicate shade of green and wrapped in a velvet cloth inside a plastic container, Jade rosin also produces less dust than most others.

Pros: I like this rosin, some say better for violin than cello. Most rosins are too bright for my left ear. I get a nice smooth sound, but not dull ,heard to apply it little and often for best results.
Cons: no cons.

Excellent hypo-allergenic green rosin

Pros: Non-allergenic as I turned out to be allergic to a substance -abitol- present in tree resin. This brought me out in severe facial eczema! Decent sized block of rosin, like the plastic container.
Cons: No cons
Other: I don't find it hard to apply or ineffective as other reviews had suggested. Like the unusual colour!

Very good rosin.
Pros: I tried this rosin as I have an allergy to rosin (asthmatic) and I had read in various posts online that this one was less problematic for allergy sufferers, as it is very low dusting, and does not contain pine resin, although it is still a natural resin from tree sources. I found it to be one of the best rosins I've ever tried- really good grip on the string with only a minimal application, but a smooth feel too, and produces a great smooth sound. I still have some allergy reaction to it, but less so as it does indeed seem to produce less dust than many other brands. I may continue to use Clarity hypoallergenic rosin for practicing, but I will use Jade for performances as I prefer it for the sound it produces.
Cons: Shame it comes in a plastic box, would prefer a more sustainable container e.g. cardboard.

A secure sense of the bow gripping the strings.
Pros: I have used Jade rosin on my cello bows for many years, having been recommended by an instrument repairer. It gives a secure sense of the bow gripping the strings.
Cons: None
Other: This was a replacement for a previous block that was nearly finished when I dropped it and it disintegrated. But it had lasted me about 20 years of quite active amateur playing.

NOT HYPOALLERGENIC AT ALL
Pros: It allows smooth gliding of the bow.
Cons: It is meant to be hypoallergenic. it is DEFINITELY NOT hypoallergenic. I have skin allergies, notably to rosin/colophony, and since switching to this brand, my hands have been full of eczema.
