Pros: Very sweet tone! Great carrying power and range of dynamics. Never squeaks, and the sound doesn't lose quality high up.

A Great E String!

Pros: I love these Jargar E strings, I tried the Forte (red packaging) and haven't looked back since. Great tone and a powerful E string. It really sings in the upper registers. hold it tuning very quickly after being on as well! A Great E string!

Cons: I haven't come across on personally yet.

Keen Amateur

Appropriate strings for the job needed.

Pros: Very quick delivery and excellent price. I was advised to use Jargar strings many years ago [almost 40] by a leading London violin shop as most appropriate for the music I played and still play [Scots fiddle music and Scottish dance band work]. I have used them ever since.

The best E string for Dominants!

Pros: The sound is much, much sweeter than the Dominant E.

Cons: None that I can think of

Good sound, but breaks miles too easily.

Pros: The sound great; there's no shrill squeak

Cons: The break awful easily! Besides the obvious, I'm also not keen on fiddle strings breaking because of the way it puts a sudden strain on the fiddle. I got very little use out of the last E string in particular, it had only a few hours of playing done.

Other: I'd change to a more durable alternative if it could produce the same sound.

By far my favourite e string

Pros: After trying out numerous e strings this one seems to be the best. Great tone, without the high scratchy tone that we all hate. By far my favourite e string.

Pros: Strong string.

Cons: Cut through bridge protector in one day.

Other: I bought this string to go with dominants, as so many people suggest. Didn't work for me.

jargar string is very efficient

Pros: lasts long, good sound, easy to play in, blends well with the other stings.

Cons: it does not have an strong mettalic sound when needed to

Other: Jarger is the "go to" e-string for all my violins. On my five-string I use the forte (red) and on my 4 string I use the medium (blue)
