Pros: I've tried a number of rosins over the last 40 years and for me, Kaplan suits me the best. I've used it for 15 years or so and never felt the need to change.
Cons: I prefer light to dark as I find the dark a little sticky.

Pros: works well when first applied
Cons: Bow still sliding on strings
Other: Was recommended to me by a professional. Works well immediately after applying to the bow but the benefits don't seem to last that long.

At last - a suitable rosin for me.
Pros: The tones seem 'lighter', 'cleaner', 'clearer'. The bows pull with minimal rosin on the hairs. There is little or no dust. Rosin wipes off the strings easily. Highly recommended.
Cons: None
Other: I should have kept using this years ago.

I shouldn't rely on my beginner's opinion...
Pros: It seems to work...
Cons: It feels ver hard. (Is that temperature dependent? It's been cold here...)
Other: This is the first time I have ever used rosin of any sort - so don't rely on anything I have written! But this particular product was recommended to me by someone with great experience in the field of bowed instruments.
