Your first step on the Larsen journey begins with Aurora Strings for cello.
These strings provide a comfortably affordable entry point into the range without any compromise in the Larsen seal of quality. Smooth & brilliant sounding but without any metallic overtones.
Set of 4 strings. 4/4, all fractional sizes to follow. 2 tensions
All 4 strings feature a solid-steel core. The A & D strings are wound with a corrosion resistant alloy, the G with nickel & the C is made using tungsten.

Lovely strings with full warm and sweet sound.
Pros: I bought them to go on a student cello for a beginner pupil of mine.. They are great. Easy to play and they have a sweet tone . Actually last autumn I bought a new cello from the Wessex violin company . After several months with it having a whole set of regular Larsens l decided l wanted something sweeter for the A string , because it was still a bit too drill like for me. I rang you and had a very helpful talk with Emma. I asked if she thought the Aurora would help soften and sweeten the sound. ( I have a friend who had a set of Auroras on hers and i like them). Emma thought it was definitely worth a try and it was! The A is so much sweeter while at the same time being just as powerful, and blending in well with the regular Larsens. Max has since explained that if you like the sound of a string it relaxes your playing and can affect for good the whole instrument. Thank you Emma and Max. Its great being able to ask your advice..
