Pros: Lovely sound - the harmonics really sing beautifully.
Cons: I believe gold strings are more liable to break. As this is a new string, I haven't encountered it, but I was extra careful when doing the final tightening!

Pros: Very nice E String and has a great resonance and quick response. Quite a bright sound and the gold finishing lasts a long time. Despite buying the high tension e string, it coped well with challenging passages that would make I prone to snapping, although if it did snap it’s not a lot to replace as it is a very decent price.
Cons: Occasionally whistles more than would be expected, but with adjustment to the way you play this can be overcome.
