Description

Aluminium wound on steel. Ball or loop end. Available in medium and strong (high tension) gauge.

Wound strings offer a full and brilliant sound with easy response. Thicker than plain strings they easier under the fingers. They cost more than plain strings but may be easier for non professional players to produce an even sound without unwanted undertones.

Using a loop end E? The use of a protector to prevent the tuner hook breaking the string is essential with loop end E strings. We cannot accept claims for strings broken by the adjuster hook. Click here to purchase this item.

A good alternative to Dominant E
3 out of 4 found the following review helpful

Pros: Plays a little sweeter than the Dominant equivalent and seems as reliable in its durability and tuning - three weeks of fairly intense practice/concert reheasal and counting.

Cons: A little pricey but if it lasts and gives the sound I want I'm willing to pay.

Great tone, didn’t last long.

Pros: Good, strong tone. It fitted in well with a set of Obligato strings.

Cons: Didn’t last long.

Other: I broke one whilst fitting ( in 30+ years playing I only remember doing that once before) The windings under my second finger had worn through after only two weeks!

reasonable price e string

Pros: I have owned three violins at the same time & now just down to one having sold the others. This is the first time i have tried the Eudoxa having changed it for the Superflexible E string which sounded a bit harsh, sounds alright but have not tried any others yet to compare.Stays in tune well and is sweeter then the other,i practice every day and the string keeps it sound unlike other cheaper strings which tend to lose it after a short period of playing.Goes well with the Superflexible's.

Cons: Nothing
