Description
Unique inflatable shoulder pad which fits virtually any instrument. Playonair, made in USA. No wires or springs. Easily attached with adjustable, elastic strap. Approximately 25mm thick the non slip, suede finish material pad allows a relaxed playing position and adjusts to body movements. The Deluxe model as Standard but with large cushion. For 3/4 and 4/4 violin and viola.

Pros: Flexible, comfortable, especially for someone with a short neck. Encourages relaxed body movement. Does not seem to affect sonority.
Cons: My previous one leaked after only a few weeks and could not be repaired.

Pros: unrivalled comfort! this is the third of its kind that I use
Cons: Eventually, the L shaped clips loose their grip and the cushion becomes too smooth. But - what rest would not deteriorate with age?

Pros: Very comfortable, doesn't affect sonority.
Cons: This is a replacement for one I'd had for years, but it doesn't seem to be as secure. I'm wondering if it's because, being new, it's more inflated than my old one was. I had lost the inflation tube and finally decided to get a new Playonair as the old one was not providing enough support.
Other: I hope this Playonair settles down as I don't want to have to look for an alternative for such a comfortable shoulder rest. That's why I'm initially giving it a 3 star rating. I hope to be able to return and upgrade it!
