Description
Nickel on steel core. A good quality student string. Sizes 1/16 to full size. A good quality student string very cost effective for improving the sound of basic instruments.
To check your instrument size measure the length of the back (LOB) excluding the 'button' which is the thumb shaped extension at the top where the neck is anchored. Old instruments can vary, if more than 1/2" over choose the next size up.

Absolutely fine for a young student beginner.
Pros: Works well and sounds fine. Reasonable quality and tone for a very reasonable price. I bought it for my daughter ged 9, who is starting to learn violin. I bought a secondhand 3/4 size for her but the G strong was missing. No point in buying very expensive high quality strings until we know if she will enjoy and continue he violin.
Cons: Nothing.
