Pros: The particular thomastik a-solo string, is a very neat, soft, accurate string that corresponds immediately providing sound clarity and dynamism. The fact that caught my attention, is that every note is played with precision, without being too loud, harsh or losing momentum when using vibrato. I am specifically refering to that, because i have observed that other strings do not offer precision to that extent. I have to say, that I am playing them only for a couple of weeks. Still the string has offered me and my instrument a new series of opportunities, regarding the production of a high quality sound. I recommend it without doubt to both students and more advanced cellists.
Cons: I have not noticed anything that displeased me.

Pros: This is the most beautiful A string I have ever used. It is incredibly responsive and plays very 'cleanly' without scratches and is so easy to express myself on in slow and fast passages, especially the fast ones actually as it is so quick to respond. Would highly recommend this A string to everyone.
Cons: Nothing negative to say.

Pros: A powerful, fairly bright string, which allows the instrument to resonate freely at a full range of dynamics. It settled quickly, and plays very easily, with a good feel under the left hand and not too high a tension. I'm currently using it with the Solo D, and Spirocore Tungsten G and C strings, which seems a good matching set.
Cons: None
Other: A good match for the Versum Solo D, also reviewed
