Pros: This is a string with considerable power and volume - it hardly sounds like a D string! That doesn't mean it's harsh however. It has openness, depth and variety of sound, and as a reviewer of the solo A also said, is incredibly responsive. It also feels easy under your left hand and bow. I would highly recommend this string, especially if you are frustrated in finding a D string to match the volume and projection of your A string.
Cons: None
Other: Also, amazingly, the same price as the Versum Solo A... thank you Thomastik - and String Zone!
