Pros: Nice looking tailpiece - though it's composite construction it looks like ebony. Smooth fine tuners.
Cons: There were no fitting instructions. Probably because it's aimed at luthiers, but in fact was very easy to fit if you are moderately handy and used to replacing strings etc.

Pros: I fitted this tailpiece before to another cello, I like the Wittner products they are quality items and don't cost the earth. The end-pin chord is very strong and does not stretch any that we could tell. There is plenty of adjustment to cover any size variations on the chord and it is easy to adjust with the knurled brass nuts.
Cons: I wasn't certain of the adjuster nuts and what possition they should be. I went for the chord going through both gusset bars with the nuts after them and not between. Not being a luthier I didn't know and there is no diagram with the package, otherwise great.

Pros: Nicely made item,a tremendous improvement on the Chinese plastic effort which came with the cello. Tuning screws have a good positive action.
Cons: The nylon tailgut supplied was only just long enough for the 3/4 cello I was fitting up. Some of the threaded section is showing between the tailpiece and saddle.
